EMMA 2.6, 2.7 and 2.8 Release Notes

Below is a list of new features in EMMA Version 2.6, 2.7 and 2.8, which became available on November 22, 2017. These releases are all components of the Dues Module, and are all opt-in features. Locals who are interested in implementing dues features should reach out to the EMMA team for more information.

New: Field for Health and Welfare Plan (EMMA 2.6)

EMMA now has an optional field for a member’s Health and Welfare plan. This field can only be edited by admins but is visible to all users. The information in the Health and Welfare field can be used to calculate a member’s dues amount, and is an important component of the EMMA Dues Module.

There are behind the scenes workflows that can be enabled for this field. If at anytime the field changes to “Enrolled” EMMA can automatically send a “Congratulations” email template to the member. If the field changes to “Waived” the system can send an “Attention” email template. These sent emails will be stored under the Documents Tab on each member record.

New: Memos Collection Feature (EMMA 2.7)

Member records now has an optional Memos Collection feature. A Memo in EMMA is a various interaction that the user has had with a member. This allows users to collaborate and see history of memos associated with each Member. Memos have an approval process and as they progress through approval different workflows are triggered.

Users can create new memos with the status of “pending” . This will automatically generate a PDF. When an admin changes the status of memos from pending to approved, the user following that person record will be notified in an automatic email. If there is no user following the record, EMMA will display an error and ask the admin to choose the rep who will be responsible for the memo.
